Should I take off my underwear when I get a massage?

Ultimately, this depends on your comfort level. Tight fitting or bulky undergarments can sometimes get in the way of massage especially if your problem areas are in the lower back and buttocks or hips. Massage and Massage Therapist are trained to properly cover and drape the body so that the area that they are working on is the only area exposed.

The pressure isn't deep enough, but I don't want to complain.

You are encouraged to openly communicate with your  Massage Therapist about your preferences and comfort. If anything needs to be adjusted or if we are almost, but not quite getting to the right spot or the pressure isn’t deep enough please speak up and let us know. However, it is a myth that massage therapy needs to hurt in order for it to be effective. Some of the most effective techniques involve very light, gentle touch, and myofascial release. Sometimes too much pressure can cause muscles to tighten further and attach from the effectiveness of your treatment. With that said, if you prefer a firm massage with a great deal of pressure, please let your Therapist know.

Is it okay to talk to the massage therapist during my massage?

You experience the greatest benefits from your massage session if you allow yourself to become quiet and relaxed, which helps your massage therapist focus on providing you a great massage. Communicating with your therapist if you feel pain or comfort or need adjustments or have any concerns is welcomed. If there's anything that your massage therapist can do to make you feel more comfortable please let them know.

I woke up with a cold today. Should I come in?

A massage will likely just make you feel worse. If you were sick, you may get your therapist sick pass it on to other clients that day even if you were giving less than 24 hours notice we prefer that you reschedule your appointment when you're

feeling well. We do hold a firm 48 hour cancellation policy, which does not cover illness.
